No homework, late bedtimes, lots of swimming…just a few of the things kids look forward to each summer. But summer break for kids is anything but a break for busy parents. It can mean major adjustments for childcare. It can also be a challenge in keeping summer break from school from becoming a couch potato fest.
National Fitness Center’s Summer Camp programs offer several ways for your vacationing students to stay actively occupied in a safe environment. This ranges from building swim skills to learning a new team sport to karate or even science experiments. NFC is now taking applications for its camps at five locations: West Signature, Tazewell Pike, Maryville, Morristown and Oak Ridge.
Children must be 5 years old or entering kindergarten the next fall in order to meet the minimum age requirement for camp. Hours run from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm weekdays, with extended hours available both mornings and afternoons.
You can check at each NFC location for a Summer Camp catalog at the front desk.
