At the Flour Sack Mama blog, we’re about carrying on the best of Grandma’s traditions while improving on what we know better!  You probably have several favorite online spots for catching up with news and information that’s relevant to your life.  On this blog, we don’t try to cover it all; but as creator and editor of this little corner of the blogosphere, I am passionate about bringing you original content that matters to you and your family.  Here’s a look back at some highlights from 2014:

Rodale Field Tractor Blue Sky Flour Sack Mama

We told you about the Play In for Climate Action with Moms Clean Air Force and we’ve covered several clean air stories for you.

In our #GreenGoesMainstream series we introduced you to some Kentucky coal businessmen who want to try renewable energy.

We brought you interviews with top scientists studying the health effects of BPA and the chemicals used in fracking operations.

Moms and dads are still asking top retailers to Mind the Store, and I’m still advocating along with thousands of others in the Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families coalition.

What a delight being joined in November by the Pollan sisters for a #CleanCouponing party about holiday food and their new cookbook!

I shared with you my personal reasons for supporting the Breast Cancer Fund in its efforts to prevent breast cancer and to advocate for cancer prevention and wellness in general.

Of course, farming and gardening remain passions of mine, and I shared many Saturdays in the Garden with you, as well as visiting the impressive organic farm operation at the Rodale Institute, which is partnering now with a leading hospital system.

It was fun being nominated by Mamavation as a top Wellness & Green Blog of 2014!

I’m looking forward to more #CleanCouponing Twitter chats/parties in 2015 where we discuss being frugal with more than money!  Here’s where you can be a part of planning these monthly events by telling me what you’d like to chat about.

Here’s how you can get weekly reminders in your inbox about the latest happenings at the Flour Sack Mama and Clean Couponing blogs.

Thanks for being a part of the Flour Sack Mama community in 2014 in your own way.  I’m looking forward to an even better 2015!

With love,

Anne
