The approach is sassy and silly. You’ll want to share this video with all of your friends.
But like everything they research and educate about at Women’s Voices for the Earth, this topic is serious and backed up by science.
How many of us as women have given much thought to how feminine products like tampons are manufactured? We trust that these products are safe, yet we don’t really even know what’s in them.
WVE says, “Studies show that hazardous ingredients in tampons and pads may include dioxins and furans (from the bleaching process), pesticide residues, adhesive chemicals such as methyldibromo glutaronitrile (in pads), and unknown fragrance chemicals. Exposure concerns include cancer, reproductive harm, endocrine disruption, allergic rash.”
