First steps, piano recitals, college acceptance letters…so many milestones are worthy of celebration for families. This week we collectively celebrate motherhood and all that it means. Motherhood is more than the quaintness we sometimes turn it into on Mother’s Day. It’s a reason for action — for wanting to make the world a better place for these families we’re raising. Here are some of my favorite examples of moms doing good.
Moms Clean Air Force works tirelessly toward cleaner air for all, and is celebrating not only moms but grandmothers.
Moms and dads around the country have been asking the nation’s largest drugstore chain, Walgreens, to Mind the Store and be accountable for ensuring everyday consumer products don’t contain toxic chemicals. This is the market outreach portion of the broad Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families effort.
Not only moms, but kids are speaking up for healthy foods and less junk food marketing. Check out this new video from the #MomsNotLovinIt campaign of Corporate Accountability International.
