Becoming a parent for the first time?
Getting involved as a grandparent?
Confused about how to keep a non-toxic home for baby?
The upcoming Knoxville Natural Parenting Expo is your one-stop event for everything you need to know!
The popular nationwide coalition Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families is proud to support this growing Parenting Expo for the second year in a row and will be there with free educational resources for East Tennessee families.
Look for Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families along with several other leading non-profit organizations that will be sharing at the expo on Saturday, April 26. The expo runs from 10 am to 6 pm at the downtown Knoxville Convention Center.
If you want to try cloth diapering, you can join with other enthusiastic moms and dads to take part in the Great Diaper Change which is always a popular event! Parents around the globe are changing diapers – around the world — simultaneously! If you’re still skeptical about cloth diapering and all the money it can save you in the long run, or even if you don’t think you can afford cloth diapering, this expo is the place to find expert diapering advice.
Support and encouragement will also be available regarding baby wearing, breastfeeding, healthy first foods, non-toxic products and all sorts of healthy family and child concerns. Educational speakers and community minded vendors make this the premiere expo for parenting.
Be sure to stop by to say hello to blogging journalist, public speaker and social media consultant Anne Brock from the Flour Sack Mama and Clean Couponing blogs, as she volunteers her time Saturday to help get the word out about Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families. SCHF aims to help educate parents about the very latest science-based information on living healthy by avoiding toxic chemicals.
This Expo not only has FREE admission, but very generous giveaways from a variety of vendors. Special thanks to those who donated items to give away in the SCHF basket on Saturday: the book Practically Green by author Michaela Preston of Mindful Momma, organic cotton gear for babies made in the USA from SOS From Texas, and a bundle of non-toxic cleaners from Zoeganics.
