We first told you about quilt designer Lena Vaughan a couple of years ago, when at 101 she was still dreaming up new patterns and working them out in fabric. Her niece introduced us to her. Long before Etsy or Pinterest, Vaughan published her own book of patterns that she shared with other quilters.
Vaughan passed away this spring at the age of 103 after a time of declining health. All her life she had quilted by hand. We’re re-posting today in memory of Lena and her inspiration to stay creative.
