Great Cloth Diaper Change and More for Parents at Expo Saturday

Isn’t it amazing how things change in just a few short years?  I was telling another mom how I had to order cloth diapers for my first baby, how you couldn’t just walk into a local store and find them. Now, cloth diapers are quite the thing for savvy parents, saving money, natural resources and concern about what’s against baby’s delicate skin.  The Great Cloth Diaper Change, happening around the country this Saturday, April 20, should be yet another fun way for parents to encourage each other in this endeavor.

At the Knoxville Convention Center, parents will be gathering Saturday morning around 10 to take part in setting the latest cloth diapering record.  It’s part of the growing Knoxville’s Natural Parenting Expo.  Admission is free at this popular event designed with the entire family in mind.

Knoxville’s Natural Parenting Expo offers generous goody bags, giveaways, educational workshops and more.  Toys and books are featured in the kids’ room, while breastfeeding and diapering will be made comfortable and convenient for families.  Families can connect with several businesses and organizations that have natural parenting at heart.  In a fresh break from the typical expo,  vendors will even be offering healthful food choices.

Flour Sack Mama is honored to host a table at the expo on behalf of the nonprofit coalition Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families. We’ll be sharing tips from SCHF and member group Women’s Voices for the Earth on protecting your family from toxic chemicals in your home. We’re also donating one of the gift baskets to be given away the day of the expo. We’re sharing a handcrafted baby bib and burp cloth set, plus coupons for FREE Stonyfield Organic yogurt (#Yo-Getters) for the giveaway.  We’re also looking forward to chatting with you during one of the speaking sessions, shortly after noon.

The April 20 event runs from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Knoxville Convention Center.  You can find more information about Knoxville’s Natural Parenting Expo at their Facebook page.
